ARKLIMATICA is a consulting firm in Green Building Design based on an innovative approach through parametric analysis of climate conditions to optimize the design process and provide solutions for Architecture, engineering, and construction projects.
Our goal is to deliver clear strategies, relevant solutions, and financially affordable. Based on these principles we work on three fronts: Green architectural design, engineering energy audit, and sustainable urban planning.
We work in coordination with design teams, under a multisystemic and multidisciplinary approach integrating the urban, architectural, technical, and climatic design variables.
Our methodology is based on an innovative approach to sustainable engineering beyond simulation. As a complex science that studies space energy behavior, we optimize comfort conditions as energy, water, and material resources consumption.
Our company was founded by solid experienced and excellent academic background professionals, leading a team of architects and engineers with diverse profiles and specializations.

PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Physical Sciences - University of Bordeaux I and Master in environmental design and comfort in Architecture and Urbanism of the Higher National School of. Architecture and Landscape of Bordeaux, France. Passionate for green development, an international expert with a large experience in architecture design, engineering, and research.
He began his professional career in 2006 in Paris at the architectural agency Architecture Studio and then at the consulting agency in Sustainable Design Franck Boutté Consultants, participating as a senior consultant for prestigious firms of architects in the world as Ateliers Jean Nouvel, Nicolas Michelin, Atelier Seraji and Jacques Ferrier (France), MVRDV (Holland) and Sauerbruch & Hutton (Germany), as well as projects in North America, Africa and Asia with multinational promotion teams. Later, as Director of the Research and Development (R & D) Pole at the Nicolas Favet Architectes agency, he explores new technologies and the integration of parametric design with BIM (Building Information Modeling) analysis tools.
In 2010 he created in Paris the firm ARKITECTURAMA, and then in 2013 he founded the company ARKLIMATICA (ARKITECTURAMA SAS) in Colombia, with the aim of developing sustainable construction from innovation. He worked as an expert in Green Building for the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation in the municipal implementation of the new green building code Res. 0549/2015 (Guidelines for water and energy savings), and for UNESCO in the sustainable construction programs for safe schools (Community-Based safe school Sustainable Construction). He has also been designated as an expert for the resilient design of educational buildings in different countries, in order to face natural disasters.
He has experience as a consultant, lecturer, and researcher at the Universidad de Los Andes, U. Javeriana and U. Católica in Colombia; U. de Nice in France and King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia, training a large number of professionals and working as a sustainable design consultant for public and private projects around the world.

Architect of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Master in Sustainable Architecture of the Polytechnic of Torino, Italy.
He is a bioclimatic consultant and has experience as a coordinator of private and public educational infrastructure projects in Colombia. He has worked in the field of design and construction of residential, institutional and educational projects in collaboration with major international firms. He has extensive experience in building design, management and construction of intermediate and large scale projects.
He is currently Chief Operating Officer of ARKLIMATICA and he is in charge of surveying technical studies and coordinate the design process with the client and the design teams.

Sustainable development and energy efficiency engineer. He developed Environment Technology and Management studies at AVANS Hogeschool, Breda in the Netherlands, holds a Master's degree in sustainable construction and Eco-neighborhoods at the National School of Architecture of Versailles, France. He has worked in different fields related to sustainable development in Australia and France.
Expert in thermodynamic, aerodynamic, natural lighting and hygrothermal comfort simulations. Its role corresponds to the development of parametric systems simulation tools, which allow to intervene in projects in real time, as well as integrating renewable energies, manage water systems, and evaluate sustainable construction strategies for the implementation of green certifications EDGE / LEED / HQE.

Mechanical Engineer, Master in Thermo-energetic Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona) and Master in Light Facades from the University of the Basque Country (San Sebastián).
His extensive experience began working in consulting offices in engineering based in Spain and Colombia for international projects. In 2013, he co-founded ARKITECTURAMA SAS and later joined the technical team of the International Finance Corporation - World Bank for the development of the sustainable construction regulation in Colombia (decree 1285 of 2015 / Res. 0549), coordinating efforts with the Ministry of Housing and the Colombian Chamber of Construction - CAMACOL. As Senior Consultant he worked on the "Cities for Latin America and the Caribbean", where he developed sustainable building policies in different countries of South and Central America.
Actually his work is geared towards sustainable certification advising. David is an expert in the simulation of buildings thermal behavior and in the development of innovation projects for the building sector, as well as in the use of new materials and strategies to reduce carbon footprint.
